The Village of Wimberley

Wimberley

Wimberley is known by the local folk as "A Little Bit of Heaven". The town is comprised of generationally native families that have welcomed and blended with escapees from many of Texas' metropolitan areas.
Local artists and artisans help keep the feeling of small town with a sophistication that is subtle and understated.

Town Square might be considered the center of all of Wimberley's activities amd for fun shopping or casual dining it just might be, but a walk along cypress creek might be a more Wimberley-type activity.
Floating down the Blanco River or hiking up Mount Baldy could be more to your liking if you just want some refrshing for your soul.

There are literally dozens of great Bed & Breakfasts, Inns and other lodging options. My favorite would be Blue Rock Artist Ranch and Recording Studio. Blue Rock is primarily an artist retreat for artists of
of any kind, but with their state of the art music studio and concert facility it is the perfect setting for those that are musically inclined. Blue Rock hosts a "Singer- Song Writer" concert on the first Thursday
of every month. Like concerts! Enjoy outdoor shows at The Emily Anne Theatre, also host to a variety of plays and other performances. And if it is outdoor shows that catch your fancy, you might like to
pack up a picnic basket and enjoy a first run movie at The Corral Theatre.

Now... For those of you with an adventurous heart and some real stamina, it is Wimberley Market Days on the first Saturday of every month between April and December.

Finally - I would be remise if I neglected to mention the great locally grown, organic produce and grass fed meats found at the Wimberley Farmer's Market Every Wednesday.
